Welcome to Alber Orchard & Cider Mill
Only 30 minutes west of Ann Arbor or an hour from Detroit, our beautiful orchard provides a perfect country get-away in the rolling hills of Manchester, Michigan.
There is no admission charge, but there is a fee for some activities. We offer horse-drawn hayrides, 7-acre corn maze, a you-pick pumpkin patch, kids play area, free straw maze and animals area, tours of our vintage cider press, fall events and entertainment, and delicious, crisp heirloom and family favorite apples.
Hayrides are $2 per person, the large corn maze is $5 per person, or $4 per person for groups of 10 or more with one person paying for the group. No charge for viewing the animals, straw bale maze, viewing the cider press, kids play area, and entry to the pumpkin patch (you do pay for your pumpkins.)
You'll also love our specially blended apple cider, pressed on site with the cider press and poured to your glass or jug.
This beautiful land was deeded in 1832 by President Andrew Jackson, and acquired by John Alber in 1881 to operate as an orchard and cider mill.
Today's owners, Mike and Therese Bossory are preserving the centennial orchard, gazebo, barns, and cider press to assure your family or special group with a clean, safe, relaxing time on the farm.
The Alber Orchard is also the ideal location for your wedding or special event, and we look forward to hearing from you.
